Our Principal and Founder, Johannah Richards, has led high-impact projects across communities and nonprofit operations. At Meridian Institute, she oversaw a $30M fiscal sponsorship portfolio, designed and administered international grant programs, and implemented grant management software that streamlined operations for grantees worldwide. At the Town of Vail, she managed sales tax, licensing, and short-term rental programs, overseeing the design and implementation of the town’s STR regulations, including the public engagement process, permitting framework, and compliance system. She also directed operations for the City of Aspen’s Community Development Department and built permitting and compliance frameworks that became models for other municipalities.

While working for multiple software companies, Johannah guided governments through complex regulation and compliance technology, leading implementation for high-profile programs and clients. This unique perspective, working both inside government and as a partner to it, shapes RW Consulting’s approach today: practical, data-driven, and built on collaboration.

RW Consulting’s experience extends beyond technical expertise. Having served as Executive Director of a statewide nonprofit advocacy organization, Johannah also brings deep knowledge of fundraising, policy advocacy, and nonprofit governance.
